My 3rd grade daughter LOVES this TikTok lesson plan (which is a HUGE win)!!! The “poor” girl has “mean parents” who won’t let her make and watch TikToks all day long (queue the world’s smallest violin). However, since I like to turn disagreements into something positive, I thought it would be fun to show her that you can take ANY topic and turn it into a learning opportunity. In some ways, this Tik Tok lesson plan is an extension to our popular Kid’s Entrepreneurship Lesson, because we will take a close look at the business-side of the social media company!
TikTok Lesson Plan
Let’s take a closer look at the business model behind TikTok, learn about the founder and CEO, Zhang Yiming, and even delve into revenue predictions for the company (all with articles that are fairly easy to digest). Of course, there will be some fun writing prompts to explore what we learn and to use our imagination. We will even watch some science experiments on TikTok, and make our own TikTok math puzzles and art animations.
Before we begin though, join our Facebook Group and “like” our Facebook Page, so you won’t miss out on any of our educational fun!

🖌 TikTok Animation Art
For your TikTok art project, we will learn how to make animated drawings in a TikTok video by watching this. Then go ahead and give it a try by making your own TikTok video and adding animated art!
And the most fun part of this TikTok lesson plan… share your TikTok videos and be sure to follow @cincyrealestateguy so that we can see what you make! Also, share your TikTok videos (or photos of any of the other fun activities) on Facebook! Make sure to include a link to this website or to our Facebook Group and Facebook Page, so that we can see it too! I’ve purposefully added a lot of options for parents who need to keep their kiddos occupied for more time and to allow you to cater to your children’s preferences.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks. I think my students will like the writing prompt. I then gave them five questions: Read the article. Answer the questions.
What else has Zhang Yiming created?
What happens if management team members’ own TikTok videos do not get enough “likes”?
If you were going to create the next “big” social media platform, what would it be like?
How would it be similar or different from the platforms that already exist (like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, Musical.ly)?
What would you call it? Why?
